Are you looking for work as a Registry Homecare Provider?
The Public Authority Registry is currently recruiting!
There are IHSS Recipients in need of a care provider to live safely and independently in their own home. The Public Authority Registry assists IHSS Recipients with finding a care provider and IHSS Providers with finding employment.
What is the Registry Recruitment Orientation?
The Registry Recruitment Orientation is conducted to provide applicants an opportunity to learn about the roles and responsibilities of an IHSS homecare provider. This is the time for the applicant to determine if the position meets their expectations. The orientation includes:
- An Introduction to IHSS & Orange County IHSS Public Authority
- Services provided by an IHSS Provider
- Who are the Recipients and Providers
- What is the Provider Registry
- Process for joining the Provider Registry
- Tips on increasing opportunities for employment and the interview process
- Review of the rules and responsibilities of the Registry Provider
- Review of the Provider Policies and Procedures
- Viewing and discussion of the Safety and Housekeeping & Roles and Responsibilities DVDs
- Overview of the Registry application and application process
We understand that not everyone has prior homecare work experience and those who do not have experience can still apply. Skills-related training is available, but dependability, honesty, and trustworthiness are a must.
Orange County IHSS Public Authority provides training, education, and resources to help IHSS Providers succeed.
Non-Registry Providers
Non-Registry Providers are Providers who are not on the Orange County IHSS Public Authority Registry and have been independently hired by a Recipient. A Non-Registry Provider can be a Recipient’s family member, friend, or someone the Recipient found outside of the Registry.
Note: If you are a Non-Registry Provider looking for more work as a Registry Provider, you must attend the Registry Recruitment Orientation. The Registry Recruitment Orientation is different from the Provider Enrollment Orientation.
